This website is devoted to the family and relatives of Pasquale and Francesca Coppola, who came to the US in 1910. Pasquale, seeking a better life for his family and an adventurer at heart, crossed the Atlantic Ocean 6 times before he finally persuaded his wife, Francesca, to emigrate to the US to be with him. Francesca emigrated from Naples, Italy with her 3 children (Ralphael, Dominick, and Esperanza) on the "Princess Irene" (German Line). It took 12 days to cross the Atlantic Ocean before they finally arrived in Ellis Island, NY. After clearing customs, the family traveled by train to Buffalo, NY, where they were met by Pasquale, who escorted them to their first apartment at 100 Washington Street. Over the next 4 years, the Coppola family grew to 5 children with the birth of Anna and Philomena.
This website celebrates the family and relatives of those 5 Coppola children:
Dominick Coppola - born September 24, 1899
Ralph Coppola - born November 11, 1903
Sara (Esperanza) Coppola - born January 22, 1906
Phyllis (Philomena) Coppola - born July 22, 1912
Ann (Anna) Coppola - born June 22, 1914
It is a "living" website, and will constantly be updated with data, pictures, and anecdotal information, hopefully for generations to come.
